Horse trailer used - choices

First thing to consider when you are going to choose your horse trailer used is how many horses do you want to transport?  Two, three, four or maybe even more, there is such a wide choice out there that it is wise to make a wish list before you even start to look and eventually decide.

Okay guys you only want to take two horses so do you want slant load or straight load?  Some horses prefer straight load and don’t mind backing out.  Others prefer to slant load and walk out. Can’t make your mind up, still can’t choose your perfect horse trailer then what about the other options. Do you want mangers with under manger storage?  This could be really useful for all your tack remember horses don’t travel light.  Would having a dressing room make you choose one particular horse trailer, what about rubber matting is this an option or a must, and remember the more kit you carry the more weight you carry, so is the total weight going to influence your choice?

Heading on up the scale as horse trailers used go there are even more options.  Carrying more than two horses will probably make you choose a horse trailer with the goose style hitch option. You can buy a nice four horse trailer with slant load and storage space for four saddles.  Nothing spectacular but practical, or when you choose your horse trailer, boy can you have fun. 

How about a four horse trailer with slant load, storage space for saddles and a dressing room?  Not tempted then what about all the above with stainless nose wrap, walk thru door, feed door in escape and stud divider.  Still not enough, then add loading lights, dome lights, a kitchen and ample living quarters horse trailer and of course a nice little bathroom would just finish things off nicely.  So there you have it, you want to choose a horse trailer used, now make your wish list and buy that special one.
